Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots can't. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin can be accomplished with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price price.
If you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models for significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. self cleaning vacuum is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The main characteristic that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
